76
PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE IN COURT OF APPEALS AND SUPREME
COURT
CR 76.02 PERFECTING APPEALS AND CROSS-APPEALS
(1) To perfect an appeal from the circuit court the appellant shall:
(a)(i) cause the
clerk's notice required by Rule 75.07(5) to be transmitted to the clerk of the appellate court or
(ii) if the appeal is a videotape appeal pursuant to CR 98(1), cause the clerk's notice
required by paragraph CR 98(3)(c) to be transmitted to the clerk of the appellate court; and
(b) file with the clerk of the appellate court the brief required by Rule
76.12.
(2) When an appeal has been perfected and so noted on the docket the clerk shall
forthwith mail notice of the date of such entry to the attorneys for the parties as shown on the
notice of appeal.
(3) To perfect a cross-appeal the party taking it shall file with the clerk of the
appellate court the brief required by Rule 76.12.
